Howdy Vultures,

Were you starting to wonder if the Vulture Classic was on this year?  It still is, it’s just been a crazy summer for everyone.  Regardless - there will be a group of vultures getting together on Saturday September 20th for the 8th Annual Vulture Classic golf tournament at a Toronto Area Golf Course. Now is the time to mark your calendars and put together your foursome.  The attached text file contains a list of who was copied on this email.

When you have your four-some ready send me an email with the names and we can start to build the tournament list.  Don’t forget, all levels of golf players – including beginners - are welcome, and yes, there will be a party that evening in Toronto.  Of course, pass on the information to any current and former members of the McGill Ski Team that haven’t been included on the list.    In addition to being about getting together for a good time, this is also a fundraiser for the McGill Ski Team, so the more the merrier – spouses included.

More details will follow in a subsequent email, once we get a bit closer to the date.

Looking forward to golfing with you!

Two further notes:

 1)  Whoever has the official tournament jackets – please send me a private email.
 2) If you want to be removed from this distribution list, please let me know by reply email.

Subject: 8th Annual Vulture Classic - Update

Hi All,

About three weeks to go before the Vulture Classic and this email is confirm the details of what’s happening, and remind you to choose your foursome and sign-up.

GOLF CLUB:

The golf course is The Aurora Highlands Golf course, right in Aurora on ‘Golf Links Drive’– you can find out more about it under public courses at www.clublink.ca.   Green fees will be $31.

Tee off time will be 1:30pm, and so far we are looking at probably about 15 golfers.  I will book some space for a few more, but to guarantee you get to play with the group, I need to know your foursome this week – before Saturday September 6th.

BAR:

The bar will be the Duke of York, near Bloor and Avenue road.  If you can’t make the golfing, you are still encouraged to come to the bar afterwards.  Awards – including the coveted jackets - will be given out at 10:00pm

DONATIONS:

Aside from being a chance to get together every year, the Vulture Classic is also a chance to financially support the McGill Ski Team, donations are voluntarily, but definitely encouraged. I will be accepting them in person on the 20th, but if you can’t come and still want to donate, you can either send a cheque to me or directly to McGill.  For addresses of where to send cheques, have a look at www.dunks.ca/vultureclassic under “How to Donate”. I have also put some other stuff on there - like maps to the golf course and who has signed up already. If you get a chance, check out the rules too - they are pretty funny.  With any luck there will be some photos online later too.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- You do not have to be a good golfer

- Spouses are welcome to join us

- Tee off time is 1:30 pm

- The bar is the Duke of York

Ok, that’s it for now, I am just looking forward to see people there!
